The chupacabra is a media sensation with chupacabra pictures and videos all over the web. T-shirts with the chupa's image and movies have added to the goat sucker's fame.

The legend of the chupacabra has been a media sensation for years. It has stirred news stories any time a suspected chupacabra was caught or a body found even though the majority of these animals were identified as other species native to the area. There have been reported cases though where the local or United States military has taken the bodies without providing a reason to local residents and this has stirred much controversy surrounding this cryptid.

Chupacabra Pictures and Videos

Search for “chupacabra videos” and hundreds of thousands of websites show up. The most common videos seem to be of bodies found that are suspected to be chupacabras, most in fact though are later proven to be some other animal and few actually match the most prevalent descriptions of this cryptid. Many television documentaries have been created about this animal and the impact it’s had on local customs.

There are also many pictures of the chupacabra available for viewing. Most are drawings based on eyewitness reports that show an alien looking creature with spikes down its back and large black eyes walking on two legs. Some of the images feature bodies that were found and have been the subject of much scrutiny over the years. Many people use the drawings to justify their belief that such an alien looking animal could not possibly exist while others claim that the drawings are exaggerations of the animal’s true characteristics.

Then of course there are the figurines, t-shirts, posters, and other merchandise that are for sale depicting the chupacabra and the hold it has on people’s minds. These items aren’t only popular with the residents of communities thought to be home to a chupacabra, but with people all over the world.

The chupacabra has also been the subject of movies such as Chupacabra Terror (starring John Rhys-Davies) in which a chupacabra is caught alive and brought aboard a cruise ship only to escape and wreak havoc upon the unsuspecting passengers.

The chupacabra myth has fascinated people for years. The controversy around the chupacabra images available on the web, the eyewitness sightings of this goat sucker, and the effects its had on tourism in some areas have all worked together to create a fascinating subject for both believers and skeptics. The interest of this creature is much like that of bigfoot. There’s just enough chupacabra sightings to keep people believing and interested but there still isn’t the evidence needed by the scientific community to officially consider this creature real. Yet.
